Products of the Indian art handicraftsmen were widely known in the European countries.
Trading ways lay in those days through Byzantium which merchants up to the beginning of XV century were enriched on resale of the Indian craft products. In the Indian art craft which has absorbed in itself taste and traditions of millenia, surprises a variety of materials which were used for processing. It, first of all, clothes and the fabrics decorated by methods of an embroidery and coloring, carpets, wattled products, jewels, ceramics and glass, products from a tree, an ivory, stones.
Intrusion of Europeans, and colonization of India by England has led, finally, to decline of the Indian craft. But, at once after clearing in 1947, in India the great attention has been given revival of all branches of art craft.
