WHAAAT?! Yep, it's true. I am that rare breed known as the native New Yorker. This, mixed in with first generation American and lover of all things nachos has shaped me into who I am today. My artistic career began as a filmmaker in Boston where, as a 2nd Unit DP, I discovered my passion for acting. Becoming a performance poet was an added bonus. Kind of like getting the whole can of ginger ale on the plane instead of just a small cup.

Check out this video I wrote/directed/produced for United Nations Volunteers.

IT'S been a great ride so far, with my very first film gig, Arya, winning me a 2005 SOUTH ASIAN MEDIA AWARD for Best Actress.

LIFE as a NY-based actor isn't complete without the joy of performing with NY Theater companies like LAByrinth Theater and on stages like Lincoln Center, Ensemble Studio Theater, Cherry Lane, Second Stage, INTAR, The Tank, Here, Under St. Mark's, Luna Stage and Theater 167.

The audience is ... everything!

POETRY for the past 14 years has brought me to venues like the Nuyorican Poets CafeThe Bowery Poetry Club and just recently, Dixon Place. Alongside the cutting-edge poetry group, P3, I've shared words about love, climate change, NYC and of course...nachos.

STICK around! I look forward to sharing the next steps of my journey with you!
